Kaleb & Taylor: Boulder, CO Coffee Shop & Flatirons Engagement Session
Our winter engagement session in Boulder, Colorado was almost last minute. It seemed too good to be true that days after Kaleb and Taylor got engaged, I was going to be flying through Denver on my way home from Italy. A few phone calls and a changed flight later, I extended my layover so I'd have just 6 hours with two of my favorite people I get to call friends. Taylor and I were sending Pinterest screenshots to each other the night before I was due to fly in and we pulled all of our ideas together in just a few hours. It was truly remarkable.
One of the first questions I always ask couples is: what is your favorite thing to do together?
I have always, ALWAYS wanted to do a lifestyle engagement session in a coffee shop. When I was visiting Kaleb and Taylor back in Boulder, they took me to this sweet little aesthetically pleasing gelato shop where the server knew them by name. They had multiple filled out punch cards and they told me they came here ALL THE TIME. I threw the idea out there of doing our engagement session here and luckily they thought it was a great idea. I love that we chose a casual setting where they hang out so often. Every image is flowing with love and sweet memories. Lifestyle sessions have this quality of feeling so personal and intimate I love so, SO much.
We then ventured to two more spots as the sun was going down. We hit up the Flatirons (holy COW, just look at those mountains) and took some photos just as the sun went down. We ate some Chipotle, we found out Taylor's best friend got engaged on our car ride up to the mountains, and warmed our fingers up in-between outfit changes. It was the perfect layover and I made it back on my flight with plenty of time.
Kaleb and Taylor, I love you both so much.
I can't wait until your wedding this summer!!
